KNOWLEDGE

Requires 5 to 8 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server
Experience of managing multiple MS SQL 2005 & 2008 RDBMS on large systems
Hands on experience in SQL database backups and recovery. Should be able to define and execute backup processes
Have good experience in troubleshooting the SQL database related issues on time.
Hands on experience in upgrading SQL Server databases from SQL7, SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 or 2008

SKILLS

Installing and supporting SQL Server Cluster – 2000,2005 and 2008 Enterprise and Standard edition
Master in Performance Tuning; Query Optimization; Database tuning; Coding Stored Procedures, Triggers, Complex Views; Indexes
Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system
