Job Description :

• Technical Lead, Power Conversion and Controls Technology 
• This position will be responsible for leading the design of new and novel power supply/systems and devise topologies for SMPS, DC-DC converters. 
• The candidate will operate independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical environment and work on multiple concurrent cross-functional projects. 
• The successful candidate must be highly self-motivated and have a fundamental understanding of power electronics, control systems, thermal management, packaging, EMC and magnetic design.

Job Requirements :

• Initiate conceptual design of new switch mode power products including soft switching power circuits and DSP/ FPGA controls
• Experience of power circuit topology selection, Analog and Digital circuit design, DSP based control systems, Gate driving circuits and protections
• Hands on Working Knowledge of Closed loop torque and speed regulation, PWM and six step operation, Vector control and Field weakening
• Experience in leading the development, validation, certification of CISPR55 medium power (500W to 5kW) switch mode circuitry with digital PWM control.
• Hands On experience in Schematic entry, PCB layout, PCB and chassis level prototyping, EMC suppression techniques, Qualification testing (Functional, EMI/EMC and IEC61010 safety, among others), Documentation and review
• Experience in PSPICE and PSIM simulation Package is preferable. Exposure to MATLAB/ SIMULINK would be a plus point 
• Experience in Hardware Review of Electrical / Electronic Product along with system Requirements
• High frequency magnetic design and analysis including thermal management.
• Experience of designing high efficiency power conversion circuits with minimum 92% efficiency and 95% power factor
• Lead new power technology development initiatives for other critical projects
• Understanding of embedded software development process applied to digital SMPS/ drive control
• Knowledge of feedback control systems in embedded hardware and Firmware to direct firmware development
• Communicate effectively in both oral and written form critical technical information regarding electronic and electrical system design and performance
• Work with manufacturing engineering on release and documentation of new hardware, test equipment, and assembly fixture
•  5 to 15 years in design / development field in Power Electronics industry
  Qualification: MTech/ ME/BTech in Electrical Engg with specialization in Power Electronics (IIT/IISC preferred)
